About AutoGro

Trevor, the mastermind and developer of Autogro, is an architectural designer by profession and had an inventive spirit from early on. While other kids were out playing sport, Trevor would be in his father’s shed building things out of whatever he could lay his hands on.
 
A few years ago, he spent time at the local plant nursery taking in the methods and techniques for raising plants. It was suggested that the best way to water plants is not from above, but from below the soil because it encourages the roots to grow down to the moisture. Good strong root structure makes for vigorous and productive plants.

With this in mind, Trevor developed a vegetable garden for himself and his family employing this principle. The garden was an outstanding success despite Trevor’s limited experience at growing vegetables. Friends and neighbours said they too would like one because they did not have to be there to water it and because it did not require much in the way of general maintenance. Mostly they were impressed by the plants themselves which produce abundant amounts of vegetables and fruit, often more than their family can eat.
 
Trevor spent a lot of time in refining the design and workings to commercially produce these kitset self watering gardens, so now you too can enjoy simple, easy care gardening that delivers great results.
